The Potomac Interceptor
Crisis Fund đź’§
The Potomac Interceptor Crisis Fund was created to power Potomac Riverkeeper Network's urgent response to January's historic sewage spill in the following ways:
· Expanding our emergency Water Quality Monitoring program, testing water samples near the spill site to assess where the river is safe (and where it isn't). We are the only independent nonprofit to collect and publish scientifically rigorous water quality data since the spill began.
· Sustained advocacy focused on holding DC Water and governments accountable for damage assessments, environmental remediation, and safeguards to protect and restore the health of our river.
· Keeping our eyes on the water with boots-on-the-ground investigation, ongoing monitoring, and public reporting of short and long term river impacts. Your donation keeps PRKN agile and immediately adaptable to this rapidly evolving situation.
When you make a gift of $35 or more to the Potomac Interceptor Crisis Fund, you'll gain access to the latest news on the spill, and become an official member of Potomac Riverkeeper Network.
